Evil robot Hanuman?

While searching for Lord Hanuman’s wallpapers, I came across an austrailian website featuring a wallpaper showing maa durga fighting with an “evil robot hanuman”. At first it kinda hurt me to see Hanuman’s name attached with anything evil. So I dropped a mail to the site’s websmaster about it. He empathised with my sentiments on the subject and told me what he actually means by this.

The terminal or trishanku?

trishanku, an ancient character from hindu mythology who was hung in between heaven and earth.

While waiting for my (extremely) delayed Indian airlines flight, I can now relate to Tom hanks better. For a budding blog junkie like me, this type of situation is a heaven. Now all I need to do for the next 5-6 hours is, surf, chat and blog.

sometime we get stuck in life in pretty much the same way. The options that are left to you inhand at that time leaves very little choice. Isnt it? WRONG! life always gives you lots of choices. But most of these choices are discarded by our mind because of our fear of losing what we already have.

eg. due this delay, I missed my office. I lost one working day when I was badly needed at the workplace. The amount of money lost to me (my day’s sal), to my company (hourly payment for today) and to the client because his product deadline got delayed since its senior developer was blogging at the airport (while watching pretty ladies dressed in uniforms of there respective airlines). No I could have taken a costlier airlines to be at my workplace in time. But in this case I feared of losing some extra money. But if the risk was taken, I could have tried to convince my mamagers and superiors to help me bear that extra amount. could be or could be not! but I didnt go that way and my fear stopped me. Was this fear? or just a practical approach? cant be too sure aint u? same here! Some thing we try to negotiate with ourselves by marking these type of actions/decisions as practical becoz they are easy to take and most importantly they have predicted results. Bad or good, we all prefer situations which we have experienced before over surprise!

But dont forget that the biggest discoveries (and inventions) in the world came as a surprise and not as a predicted output of that experiment. So the bottom line is……dont be afraid to try out new things in life….coz

In the end, you will not regret what you didnt get, but what you didnt tried!

My Diwali

The whole of my trip was pretty good (read great!) in terms of
meeting my beloved family members, my naughty cousins and some old lost
pals…….
Diwali is called a festival of lights with a reason. It brings joy and light in the eyes of old parents and grandparents when they see there children after such a long time. I realise this.Thats why I made a resolution some time back that I will make sure that my diwali is celebrated with my parents @ my parental home. Briefly while this resolution gives me a sense of proud that I pull my own strings but largely it gives me the pleasure of being close to my near and dear ones. Coz diwali is the only time when u can meet nearly all of ur cousins, family friends and close relatives in a very short span of time and re-energize ur relationships with them further.

What if you were slapped hard and asked not to cry?

Same is happening with me now. But I’m happy… not just because I believe in Gandhigiri but because I asked with this kind of job! I asked for a job where I could be slapped a hundred times before I can comeup with something so innovative, creative and untraditional that people will try to follow me. Am I a painter, artist or an ad maker? Hm. well.. none! or in a sense a bad conglomeration of these things….

I’m a software engineer based in India’s prestigious InfoTech savvy city, Bangalore!

This blog is my last attempt to awake my dormant writing skills which used to be the talk of the town when I was fairly young (NO! I’m not talking about my kindergarden days….though I was good with Alphabets then too )
